Racing Incidents

Trainer Irfan Ali informed that he was unable to engage a Jockey on his charge ASHWA TEJVEER hence it was permitted to be withdrawn.

An objection was lodged by Jockey K Narender Kr. (ASHWA KANCHENJUNGA) placed 4th by the judge against Jockey Dhanu Singh Deora (ROBUST) placed 1st by the judge “for coming on to me and cutting across sharply between 250 to 200 meters due to which I had to check my mount and that cost me a certain win.

The Stewards interviewed the jockey concerned and having heard the submission made by the Stipendiary Stewards and relying on their own judgement of the race the Stewards decided to overrule the objection and maintain placing as declared by the Judge.

Jockey Vivek G (ANGLIA) reported that at about 200 meters ASHWA KANCHENJUNGA (K Narender Kr.) who was travelling in front of him dropped back due to which he had to check his mount and pull out to avoid clipping her heel.

After the race, ASHWA KANCHENJUNGA was found to be lame by its right fore leg. Trainer S Nawab has been asked to obtain a veterinary certificate of fitness before next accepting to race.

Veterinary examination of FIRST CLASS revealed no apparent abnormality.
