Racing Incidents

It rained heavily for about 15 Minutes before the start of the race.

ACANTHA (Y. S. Srinath) jumped awkwardly outwards and inconvenienced LORVEN'S GLORY (Shreyas Singh S) at the start.

Jockey Pavan, the rider of DAYS DATE reported that his mount accidentally stumbled passing the 600 Metres.

It was observed that HONEST DESIRE (Aleemuddin) drifted out under pressure in the final 150 Metres.

ACANTHA (Y. S. Srinath) sustained bleeding injury on left nostril.

Trainer Mr. M. Rajendra Singh and Jockey K. Sai Kiran were questioned regarding the running and riding of PURSUIT OF WEALTH in the above race.

The trainer stated that:-

a)    He had instructed the jockey to go to the front and do his best in the straight.
b)    His horse did not have the initial speed as to compared to the other runners in the race, the rider had to urge his mount as he was drawn badly and had to travel wide to obtain the forward position.
c)    The horse had performed well in the Mock Race with the Blinkers and Tongue Strap as such he fancied it to win in the above race.

The Jockey while corroborating the statements of the trainer added that despite him riding out his mount fully, he could only finish 3rd.

Their explanations were noted for future reference.
