Racing Incidents

Tr. Rutherford Alford was reprimanded for not being present on time for saddling of his charge DIAMOND GOLD and for the parade of his charge in the paddock. The Trainer was further advised to ensure that his charges reach the start on time.

HORUS THE GREAT was re-saddled at the start. DIAMOND GOLD jumped awkwardly from the gates.

LAHINA was slow to begin and trailed the field during the initial stage of the race. CITY OF JOY drifted out in the concluding stages of the race.

For running his charge CITY OF JOY in shoes other than those declared, Tr. Sabeel Shariff was fined a sum of Rs. 5,000/-. The Trainer was warned that like repetition would entail him to further disciplinary action.

The Veterinary Officer reported that :-

a) SEA WATERS returned bleeding from its nostrils. Tr. Javed Khan was advised not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.

b) LAHINA returned with right nostril injury.
