Trainer Shazaan Shah had informed the Stipendiary Stewards that he had erroneously accepted CREDENCE in this race and requested to withdraw his charge. As such, the filly was not declared to start and Trainer Shazaan Shah has been fined Rs.5,000/- for his lapse.
On arrival at the starting gate at the request of Jockey A. Sandesh, DIVINE STAR was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O., who certified him fit to race.
DIVINE STAR (A. Sandesh, dr.6) lost about two lengths at the start.
At the start, DREAM SELLER (Bharat Singh, dr.4) jumped outwards onto CHRISTOPHANY (Neeraj Rawal, dr.5) who shifted out and went across DIVINE STAR (A. Sandesh, dr.6) causing the latter to be checked, thereafter DREAM SELLER continued to shift out thereby carrying the field outwards. App. Bharat Singh has been cautioned
Soon after the start, IRISH GOLD (Antony Raj S.) shifted in and went across SON OF A GUN (A. Prakash) who was marginally slow to begin.
Approaching the 1000 metres, TURN AND BURN (N. S. Parmar) veered out thereby carrying DREAM SELLER (App. Bharat Singh) outwards. Jockey N. S. Parmar has been cautioned.
Approaching the 200 metres, IT’S MY TIME (App. Aditya Waydande) shifted out under urgings and went across DIVINE STAR (A. Sandesh) causing the latter to be checked. App. Aditya Waydande has been fined Rs.3,000/-.
After the race, App. Aditya Waydande (IT’S MY WAY) reported loss of whip in the final stages of the race. This being his second instance during the current Pune Meeting 2025, App. Aditya Waydande has been fine Rs.2,000/-. Further, he has been asked to go to the riding instructor to improve his whipping action.
After the race on questioning Jockey Neeraj Rawal (CHRISTOPHANY) stated that he was denied a clear passage in the final stages of the race. The Stipendiary Stewards are looking into the same and a report will be submitted shortly.
Jockey K. Prainl (CELLINI) was observed to have used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. This being his second offence during the current Pune Meeting 2025, he has been fined Rs.5,000/-.
After the race, TURN AND BURN was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not permitted to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. As such, the gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race
After the race, the V.O. reported the following:
DIVINE STAR & CHRISTOPHANY were trotted and found to be sound.
DREAM SELLER was trotted at the stables and found to be sound.
The Equine Hospital reported the following:
CHRISTOPHANY had both eye injuries (sore) and ulcer in left eye.
IT’S MY TIME had both eye injuries (sore).
