VENENO (Hasib Alam) left the paddock riderless and was very reluctant to go to the starting gates, delaying the proceedings. Under the circumstances the mare was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under Starter’s orders. Tr. B Rajender Reddy was fined a sum of Rs. 10,000/- for failing to follow the laid down procedure for horses being led to the start.

VOICE OF A DREAM was slow to begin losing approximately 3 – 4 lengths at the start. Tr. Rutherford Alford was advised to give his charge adequate gate practice before accepting with it again.

THE PRESENCE missed the jump.

Passing the 600 metres Jockey Imran Chisty (KEITARO) tightened DANCE ALONG (Suraj Narredu) for room who in turn went onto SPIRIT BAY (R S Bhati) resulting in the mare stumbling, in the process Jockey R S Bhati lost his left stirrup iron and could not ride out his mount to complete advantage. Jockey Imran Chisty was shown the CCTV replay of the race and fined a sum of Rs. 5,000/- for not exercising proper control over his mount.

Tr. Neil Darashah and Jockey Akshay Kumar when questioned regarding the running and riding of EPIC PLAY, the trainer stated that he had asked the Jockey to ride his own race from the front and to do his best.
 
The same was confirmed by Jockey Akshay Kumar who stated that the gelding grabbed the bit and got keen, racing fiercely, resulting in his mount having nothing much to offer in the final run. Tr. Neil Darashah was of the opinion that possibly his charge would do better when ridden in check in future, was noted.

Jockey Varun (SPORTING TRAINER) was fined a sum of Rs. 3,000/- for excessive use of the whip (first infringement).
