Racing Incidents

At the start, LUCKY LIPS (Aasif Khan) & RHAPSODY IN GREEN (R. Yousaf) both were slowly away.

At the start, MASTER BOMBER (Lave Kumar) took a fly jump & lost about a length.

At the start, JUGGAAD (Vishal Shivhare) lost about a length.

On being questioned regarding Running and Riding of “SUPER SPEED” (K. Sunny Kumar) Trainer Ajay Sharma stated that he had instructed the jockey to hit front and sit within two lengths in front of the field and he is not satisfied with his riding because the jockey has not followed his instructions and took an undue lead of 7-8 lengths due to which his charge fizzed out at about 150 meters. He also stated that in spite of the stable connections fancying the horse, odds went up from 2/1 to 5/1.

Jockey K. Sunny Kumar confirmed the instructions given and submitted that the mare went on its own to the front and being a short distance race he did not restrain her movement. He was shown the CCTV replay of the race and asked as to where he tried to settle and sit as instructed by the Trainer, to which he had no plausible explanation.

Jockey K. Sunny Kumar was fined Rs. 20000/- for not following Trainer’s instructions and riding an Injudicious race.

Veterinary examination of SUPER SPEED & MERIDIA revealed no apparent abnormality.
