Racing Incidents

On being questioned regarding riding of ASHWA KANGTO trainer S. Nawab stated that he had instructed jockey to sit 2nd/3rd , maintain position and ride his best in the straight. He was however not satisfied with the riding.

Jockey K. Narender Kr. Confirmed the instructions and submitted that he had ridden to the best of his ability wherein he tried to take good position and also gave couple of reminders at about 300 and 100 meters but his mount kept dropping back in the concluding stage of the race. His statement was noted for future reference.

After the race, RONALDO was found to be lame by its left fore leg. Trainer K. Ali Khan has been asked to obtain a veterinary certificate of fitness prior to his charge being presented for any future trial or race.
