Racing Incidents

An objection was lodged by Jockey K Sunny Kumar (THE MENTALIST) placed 2nd by the judge against Jockey R. Rakesh (DIVINE DANCER) placed 1st by the judge “for taking his ground at 300, 250 & 150 meters for intentionally taking out his mount from 400 meters up to 100 meters thereby he could not ride out properly and even stopped riding from 150 meters to 50 meters and that cost him a certain race.

The Stewards interviewed the jockey concerned and having heard the submission made by the Stipendiary Stewards and relying on their own judgement of the race the Stewards decided to overrule the objection.

After the race, EGYPTIANA BEAUTY was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not fit to race for a stipulated period of 4 weeks. Trainer S. H. Abbas has been asked to obtain a veterinary certificate of fitness prior to his charge being presented for any future trial or race.
