As Jockey V R Jagadeesh reported sick at the starting gates, was checked by the Medical Officer and declared medically unfit to ride, b g BRAVE MAJESTY was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under Starter’s orders.

DANCE ALONG and DUBAI RULER were slow to begin.

Jockeys Vishal N Bunde and R Vaibhav were reprimanded for unnecessarily calling out during the running of the race.

Jockey Hindu Singh (ANIGRAHA) was fined a sum of Rs. 5,000/- for coming in and tightening DANCE ALONG (A A Vikrant) who eventually clipped ANIGRAHA and dropped back passing the 600 metres.

Tr. Vijay Singh and Jockey Suraj Narredu when questioned regarding the running and riding of LAGUNA SECA, the Trainer stated that his instructions were to take a good jump, settle in a mid bunch and give the filly every chance. However, due to there being no pace in the race, his charge was not able to find an advantageous position. Jockey Suraj Narredu corroborated the Trainer’s instructions. He further stated that he was inconvenienced at about the 600 metres due to a tightly packed field and when he made a final effort, the filly did not have much to offer in the final stages of the race. The Stipendiary Stewards while noting their explanations, advised the Trainer to get his charge examined by the Veterinary Officer. Post race endoscopy of LAGUNA SECA on 11th March, 2026 revealed that the filly suffered from EIPH Gr III. Tr. Vijay Singh was advised not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.

Tr. Aashay Doctor when questioned regarding the improved performance of his charge POLKA DOT as compared to its previous outing in Race No. 127 – THE GREEN SARI HANDICAP run on 7th February, 2026 stated that :-

a)    She ran after a break of about a month which helped her to run fresh.
b)    Change of jockey from R Vaibhav to P Trevor made a difference.
c)    The pace of the race was slow which helped her to dictate the terms from the front which might have suited her better.
