BORN TO BE SPOILT was slow to begin losing approximately 4 – 5 lengths at the start. Tr. Rutherford Alford was advised not to accept with his charge until shown to the satisfaction of the Starter in a barrier trial.

The Veterinary Officer reported that BORN TO BE SPOILT returned lame on left hind. Tr. Rutherford Alford was advised not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.

MOHSIN which was at the helm of the field till about the 400 metres dropped back from about the 350 metres finishing the race detached from the field. Tr. Rutherford Alford was advised not to accept with his charge until it was capable of a better performance.

Tr. V Ajith Kumar when questioned regarding the improved performance of his charge TRACK STRIKING as compared to its previous outing in Race No. 160 – THE AVEROFF CUP held on 6th March, 2026 stated that :-

1.    The gelding had come down in class and ran in the lowest category .

2.    His charge had been running with better company with younger horses in the upper class.

3.    The set was very moderate in this race with a small field and mostly with same age category, which helped the gelding to come out better.

4.    Change of jockey also helped the horse to perform well. His explanations were noted.
