SOUL AQUARIAN jumped out awkwardly losing 2 – 3 lengths in the process.
Jockey Imran Chisty (DUBAI PRINCE) and Jockey M S Deora (SOUL AQUARIAN) reported that their mounts were not improving position in spite of their best efforts throughout the race. The Veterinary Officer was requested to examine both horses and submit his reports. On examination both horses were found to be trotting sound. Trs. Shafiq Khan and Javed Khan were advised not to accept with their respective charges until they are capable of better performance.

Jockey Suraj Narredu (CRISTALDO) reported that his mount hit a bad patch and dropped back rapidly from about the bend, was noted. On examination the gelding was found to be trotting sound.

Tr. V Ajith Kumar when questioned regarding the improved performance of his charge STRONG TALONS as compared to its previous runs stated that :-

1. In race No. 169 the gelding finished fourth in the same class in spite of taking a slow jump and covered good ground to finish 4/5 Lengths behind the winner . The winner MONEY CATCHER won back to back races in the same class.

2. In race 179, I had instructed the jockey to take a good jump and sit well up with the field because he was carrying bottom weight, since the pace was very fast and running in the upper class, my horse could not match with the pace and dropped back on entering the straight.

3. Now running again in lower class, with the moderate field and with almost same age category horses and with a furlong more compared to race number 169, my jockey rode a well judged pace race, following instructions not to use the horse in the initial stages, the gelding came out well to win this race . I was happy with result.

The Stipendiary Stewards not being satisfied have decided to continue with the enquiry.
