LUCERO (V.R.Jagadeesh) jumped awkwardly inwards and inconvenienced ANNABELLE (Aleemuddin) on its inside soon after the start.

Jockey Darshan R.N, the rider of HUSANARA reported that his mount was not galloping fluently after entering the straight. The horse was subjected to veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported. However, Trainer Mr. S. Narredu was informed to ensure better performance of his charge in future.

Jockey Asirvatham, the rider of JALWA was reprimanded in the presence of Master Trainer Mr. Azhar Ali for his negligence pertaining to weighing ‘in’, in that, he “weighed in” 500 grams less in relation to “weighing out”.

Trainer Mr. Azhar Ali was questioned regarding the improved performance of JALWA (Asirvatham) in the above race.

The trainer stated as follows:-

1)    His charge was running after 5 months break and had got a 5 point seasonal drop, which helped his charge a lot and his charge performed extremely well in this set.

2)    His instructions to his rider were to take a good jump, hit the front & do his best in the straight.

3)    However, due to the fast pace of the race his charge did hit the front, the rider settled it well along the rails and gave it very good run after entering the straight and his charge went on to win the race.

His explanations were noted for future reference.

Trainer Mr. Arjun Mangalorkar was questioned regarding the poor performance of ANNABELLE (Aleemuddin) in the above race.

The trainer stated as follows:-

1)    The horse was fighting for its head right from the start till about 600 Metres of the above race.

2)    Thereafter, the horse started drifting out and the rider, instead of changing his whipping hand and whip on the left hand side, continued to whip on the right hand side, thereby allowing the horse to drift out onto the centre of the Track.

3)    According to him, the rider is an apprentice Jockey and is not very confident using the whip in his left hand.

Jockey Aleemuddin corroborated the statements of Trainer Mr. Arjun Mangalorkar and also added that his left hand was weak and that he was still practising the use of whip on his left hand.

Their explanations were noted for future reference.

ANNABELLE (Aleemuddin) was subjected to veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.
