DR ASH (Rajesh Kumar M) walked out of the gates, thereby losing many lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour, Trainer Mr.G.Y. Rajesh Babu was informed not to accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in at least one Mock Race on a Race Day on the Race Track.

Jockey Rayan Ahmed R., the rider of STAR COMET was fined Rs.3,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement). It was reported after the race that REAL HAPPINESS (A.A. Vikrant) returned lame on right fore. Trainer Mr.S. Narredu was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Jockey Kiran Rai P was questioned in the presence of Trainer Mr. Narayana Gowda V. as to his riding, on his mount ART OF ROMANCE in the above race.

The Jockey stated as follows:-

1). His riding instructions were to take a good jump, sit 3rd/4th position and after entering the straight, to ride out and do his best.

2) One of horses on his outside, viz., TURKOMON (Rushal G A) came 'in' and caused interference and so he had to shout out to tell the rider of the horse not to come in and hence he could not brush up his mount to catch a forward position.

3) Thereafter, from being one off the running rails, his mount suddenly shifted out under pressure to race in the centre of the Race Track. He tried correcting it by whipping on the left, but still his mount continued to drift out and finished the race on the middle of the grass track.

The trainer, while corroborating the statements of the rider also added that the ideal distance of this horse was between the 7 furlong and a mile. He had fancied the chances of his charge and expected to win the above race, but it drifted out and finished 2nd. The rider also added that his mount was coughing after the race. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination.

On examination, it was found to have sustained gum injury & burst its blood vessels (Grade - III). Trainer Mr. Narayana Gowda V. was informed to produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

2 While noting their explanations for future references and taking the veterinary report into consideration, Jockey Kiran Rai P was given the benefit of a grave doubt. He was informed that a repetition of a similar manner of riding would entail him being reported to the Stewards for appropriate action.

Surprise sample was taken for analysis from b m ART OF ROMANCE. 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b m ACANTHA.
