Jockey Akshay Kumar, the rider of DON CARLOS was reprimanded for shifting out and inconveniencing RICARDO (Aleemuddin) on its outside passing the 200 Metres.

3 Trainer Mr. Rajesh Narredu and Jockey Suraj Narredu were questioned regarding the running and riding of GLOBAL INFLUENCE in the above race. The Jockey stated as follows:-

1) His mount was running after 5 months break and came into this Race without the benefit of run and taking this into consideration it ran a very good race & finished a good 2nd.

2) The winner had a benefit of the race run and hence ran a forward race and it went onto win the race. The trainer corroborated the statements of the jockey and added that his horse had won two races in Kolkata against lower quality horses. In his opinion, this horse does not belong to Class I and despite being ridden out it was not showing any improvement and was running there and there only, in this set of higher-class horses.

When the rider asked the horse for an effort, there was nothing left in it and just ran on to finish a good 2nd. Their explanations were noted for future reference.
