Racing Incidents

An enquiry was held by the Stipendiary Stewards with respect to the riding of Jockey Akshay Kumar, the rider of IRON MIRAGE In that “After about 50 meters into the race Akshay Kumar, shifted "in" tightening SHRISHTI (Yash Narredu) onto VEERA'S PRINCESS (Shamaz Shareef) onto BUREVESTNIK (A. Sandesh). All horses were inconvenienced to varying degree”. Jockey Akshay Kumar was interviewed.The Stipendiary Stewards after considering the submissions made by Jockey Akshay Kumar, and after viewing the CCTV decided to charge Jockey Akshay Kumar, for careless riding, The Stipendiary Stewards thereafter suspended the Jockey’s Licence granted to Akshay Kumar, for three(3) race days i.e., on 18/07/2026, 19/07/2026 & 25/07/2026 of Bangalore Summer Meeting 2026 for Careless Riding under Rule No. 161 (i) of the BTC Rules of Racing on his mount IRON MIRAGE (he is permitted to ride work) and was informed of his right to appeal.

Compulsory urine and blood samples were taken for analysis from the following I,II & III placed horses viz:
