RIVER DEEP (A. Ashhad Asbar) knuckled at the start losing ground.

POLE STAR (P Trevor) from wide barrier was forced to cover extra ground until approaching 700 metres.

Near 950 metres, which was racing keenly checked to avoid heels of PERFECT ATTITUDE (S. Antony Raj) Near the 700 metres RIVER DEEP (A. Ashhad Asbar) shifted "out" while easing from the heels of PERFECT ATTITUDE (Antony Raj S.) and bumped SPLENDID DREAM (Akshay Kumar). Jockey A. Ashhad Asbar, the rider of RIVER DEEP was reprimanded.

Trainer James Mckeown was asked if he could explain the apparent improved performance of AKITANIA today as opposed to her previous start on 5th July 2026 in the same class of race. Mr Mckeown stated that the mare race second place outside the leader after drawing the outside gate. He added that AKITANIA commenced to shorten stride near the 200 metres in that race, that was still in the fourth place at the 100 metres and crossed the line in the tail end bunch. Mr Mckeown said it had been 3 weeks between runs together with the 5 kg allowance claim of S. Sachin which suited the speedy mare, in today race which was run 1.8 seconds slower than the race on 5th July. Trainer’s explanation were noted for future references.
