Trs. Rutherford Alford and Vikash Jaiswal were warned for late arrival of their charges KAY STAR and CASCADE respectively to the start thereby delaying the proceedings of the race. The Trainers were further advised to ensure that their charges arrive on time in future.

PRICELESS PRINCE was very fractious in its stall, reared up dislodging the rider and got stuck on the side bars of its gate. The gelding was taken out from its stall and was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under Starter’s orders. The Starting Stall Certificate has been revoked.

CACHE, CASCADE and LEGACY were slow to begin.

Tr. Sabeel Shariff and Jockey Md. Azharuddin when questioned regarding the running and riding of CACHE, the Jockey stated that he was instructed to take a good jump, position his mount in 5th/6th position and to do his best. The  Trainer corroborated the Jockey’s statement. The Stipendiary Stewards not being satisfied with the explanations tendered, decided to :-

a) Suspend Jockey Md. Azharuddin from riding in races on Thursday, 20th August and Wednesday, 26th August, 2026 and fine him a sum of Rs. 50,000/- for the unsatisfactory riding of his mount in that he failed to improve position from about the 700 metres when he had every opportunity to do so and thereafter unnecessarily shifting course to the inside after coming into the straight and fail to persevere with his mount from about the 300 metres.

b) Fine  Tr.  Sabeel  Shariff  a sum  of  Rs.  25,000/-  for  the  unsatisfactory running  of  his  charge CACHE. The Trainer  was further  warned  to  ensure that  his charges are run and  ridden in such manner that leaves no room query.

Both Tr. Sabeel Shariff and Jockey Md. Azharuddin were informed of their right to appeal.

CACHE was examined and found to be trotting sound.
