ROMAN SPIRIT planted, taking no practical part in the race. The Starting Stall Certificate has been revoked. Tr. B Rajender Reddy was advised not to accept with his charge until shown to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a mock race.

Tr. Vikash Jaiswal and Jockey Varun when questioned regarding the running and riding of FOUJITA, the Jockey stated that :-

He was instructed to take a good jump, place his mount in 5th/6th position and to do his best thereafter.

The filly jumped out awkwardly from the gates and thereafter he felt that she was not galloping smoothly but he continued to niggle her to improve position.

He rode her out completely in the final straight.

Tr. Vikash Jaiswal corroborated the Jockey’s statements and explanations.

The Stipendiary Stewards not being satisfied with the explanations tendered, decided to :-

a) Suspend Jockey Varun from riding in races on 9th September and 16th September, 2026 and fine a sum of Rs. 50,000/- for the indifferent handling of his mount in the initial and middle stages of the race.

b) Warn Tr. Vikash Jaiswal and advise him to ensure that his charges are run and ridden in such manner that leaves no room for query.

Jockey Varun was informed of his right to appeal.
