Racing Incidents
COSMOS (App V Aharwal) played up and was reluctant to go to the start thereby, delaying the start of the race. Tr. R Alford has been advised to school his charge better before next accepting with it. FLEMENCO STAR (App Afzal Khan) was slow off losing about 4 lengths. Tr. H S Bath has been advised to give adequate gate practice to his charge before next accepting with it. Tr. Anupam Sharma was questioned regarding the riding instructions of his charge STRENGTHTO SUCCEED in the above race. The trainer stated that he had asked Jockey J Chinoy to settle his mount in 2nd or 3rd position as he had instructed the stable mate to be ridden from the front. Jockey J Chinoy when questioned corroborated the same but explained that the initial pace of the race being fast, he could not position his mount as instructed. Whilst the instructions of Tr. Anupam Sharma was noted, Jockey J Chinoy was severely warned to make greater efforts to position his mounts as instructed, more so in a sprint race, failing which he would
