Racing Incidents
Consequent to Jockey A R Mani having been declared medically unfit to ride, Tr. D Karki was permitted to substitute Jockey Md. Islam to ride his charge SANGOMA. SANGOMA (Md. Islam) was very troublesome to load, broke open the front gate and bolted riderless. The gelding was caught, examined by the Sr. Veterinary Officer, declared fit to race and re-loaded. PROSPECTIVE QUEEN (D Gnaneshwar) was slow off losing about two lengths. Jockey D Gnaneshwar, the rider of PROSPECTIVE QUEEN, reported loss of whip at about the 100 metres.
