QUEEN VIC (App Shezad Khan) was slow to begin. Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of OAKDALE, when afforded an opportunity to explain the running of his mount stated that he was instructed to position his mount at the rear of the field and to do his best thereafter and acknowledged having misjudged the early pace of the race when he found himself further away from the field than he intended to. Trainer Bharath Singh corroborated the jockey’s instructions and informed the Stipendiary Stewards that similar instructions will be given in future. The same was noted. |
