On the morning of 18^th December, 2012 the Sr. Veterinary Officer reported that b rig BATTTLEAXE was found to be lame on right hind. Under the circumstances it was permitted to be withdrawn.  Trainer Vikash Jaiswal was informed not to accept with his charge until passed fit by the Veterinary Officer.

SARTAJ(Sk  Israil) was slow to begin.

ENZO (Shezad Khan) fly jumped out of its stall.

Approaching the 400 metres ZIP ZAP ZOOM (Afzal Khan) was squeezed for room and lost ground when SUAVEMENTE (App J K Prasad) shifted ”inwards”.  At a subsequent enquiry, App Jockey J K Prasad was severely reprimanded for not exercising greater control over his mount and was advised to report to Jockey Coach Mr Philip Alford for corrective measures.

Passing the distance post ETERNAL INSTINCT (Akash Agarwal)  was checked by its rider and lost ground to avoid running into the heels of MEHZABEEN (N S Parmar) which was carried “inwards” by ZIP ZAP ZOOM (Afzal Khan).  At a subsequent enquiry Jockey Afzal Khan who had been cautioned earlier to ensure that he makes every effort to keep his mounts on an even course was fined a sum of Rs. 2,500/- for failing to take adequate corrective measures.

An enquiry has been opened into the improved performance of ch g ENZO trained by C Gleich, the winner of this race as compared to its previous performance in  race No. 50 held on 4^th December, 2012.
