Racing Incidents

SMOKEY BABA (Imran Chisty) and PROMISSORY NOTE (Surjeet Singh) were slow to begin.

Approaching the 800 metres STILING VEIL (C Alford) brushed against the false rails momentarily unbalancing its rider.

Jockey B Gurang when afforded an opportunity to explain the running of his mount dk b m ALICANTE, stated that he was instructed to lead the field from the start and on entering the straight to ride to the best of his ability.  On questioning Tr. Vikash Jaiswal corroborated the jockey’s statement.  The Stipendiary Stewards reprimanded Jockey Gurang for taking an unduly long lead which had a bearing on the overall performance of the mare and further cautioned Tr.Vikash Jaiswal to be more explicit in his instructions to his riders in future.
