Jockey B Mahesh was shown the CCTV replay of the race and advised to exercise greater control of his mounts when placing them under pressure.

An enquiry was held into the running of the race with particular reference to the fall of ch c JAMBALAYA approaching the distance post. At the conclusion of the enquiry, it was established that the fall was accidental and as such no blame could be attached to any rider. Consequently, the ‘All Clear’ signal was hoisted.  On examination of the colt by the Veterinary officer it was found to have sustained a fracture to left knee and therefore was euthanised on Veterinary grounds. Jockey B Srinivas Rao who received minor injuries was kept under observation.
