Racing Incidents

STILING VEIL (C Alford) was fractious and flipped over during the parade in the paddock.  The mare was examined soon after by the Veterinary Officer and was permitted to proceed to the starting point.  Thereafter, the mare was once again examined and found fit to race.

SILKEN SENORITA (Md. Imran Ashraf) jumped awkwardly ‘outwards’ from the gates.

Tr. R Gowli when afforded an opportunity to explain the improved performance of his charge b m SILKEN SENORITA stated that the stable was pleasantly surprised with the victory.  Further he stated that the mare had placed 1st  in Race No. 42 (For Horses Rated 1-26) of this Season, thereafter she participated in the higher class in Race No. 89 where she performed poorly.  He added that today she ran over 7 furlongs with a jockey claiming an allowance of 4 kgs and just about held on to win.  The Stipendiary Stewards noted his explanations.
