FLASH (Y S Srinath) arrived late to the start and was fractious inside its stall.

CRINA (Mohit Singh) was fractious in its stall.

ALTANZA (Shailesh Shinde) AND PERSIAN JEWELS (Kishore Kadam) were slow to begin.

Jockey Y S Srinath, the rider of b f  FLASH, when afforded an opportunity to explain the running of his mount stated that the filly was very fractious and disturbed while proceeding to the starting gates appearing to have lost most of her energy  before the start of the race, which  in his opinion  was the reason for her performance.   Ms. Arti Doctor, the trainer of the filly, when questioned stated that the filly had behaved well during the hours of morning track work and during the practice session at the gate.  However, in her opinion, the difference of weight between FLASH and the other 3 year olds was the main reason for the filly’s failure to perform better.  The Stipendiary Stewards noted their explanations.
