Prior to the running of the race Tr. H S Bath informed the Stipendiary Stewards that there would be a change in the running pattern of ch g CHHUNDU (Sameer Khan) in that unlike its previous runs the gelding will now be ridden in check by its rider. His change of instructions was noted.

b f CARNIVAL SPIRIT (Jugnu Gurung) was examined by the Veterinary Officer prior to the start of the race and found to have sustained a cut injury on left hind quarter. Under the circumstances the filly was withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter’s orders. Tr. S S Habbu was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.

ALICANTE (Md Imran) was fractious while being stalled.

NO REMORSE (Sk Israil) which was slow to begin finished off the race detached from the field. Tr. R W Alford was informed not to accept with his charge until it was capable of a better performance.

Jockey Surjeet Singh, the rider of OAK WOODS, was reprimanded for the indifferent handling of his mount in the early stages of the race and was advised to ensure that he rides his mounts in such manner that leaves no room for query.
