CAF E RIO (S Zervaan), COMBINED OPERATION (Imran Chisty) and ZEFFIRELLI (Mohit Singh) were slow to begin.

A n enquiry was held immediately after the race into the fall of CORSICA (Shailesh Shinde) a pproaching the 600 metres . At the conclusion of th e enquiry the “All Clear” signal was hoisted and the matter was referred t o the Stewards for further action . The Stewards met after the last race and after interviewing Jockeys Shailesh Shinde, A Ashhad Asbar , S Zervaan , Stipendiary Stewards and viewing the CCTV replay of the race found Jockey S Ze rvaan, the rider of CAFÉ RIO, guilty of careless riding under Rule 161(i) in that approaching the 600 metres when making progress on the outide of POCKET QUEENS (A Ashhad Asbar) and CORSICA (Shailesh Shinde) travelling on the rails he allowed his mount to shift ‘in’ when not adequatel y clear of POCKET QUEENS whose jockey on being squeezed for room shifted ‘inwards’ onto CORSICA (Shailesh Shinde) which made contact and bounced off the inner rail subsequently clipping the heels of POCKET QUEENS and fell dislodging its rider . In this inc ident ZEFFIRELLI ( Mohit Singh ) LONG TERMS (App Md Azharuddin) travelling behind were checked by their respective riders when taking evasive action thereby losing considerable ground. The Stewards decided to suspend Jockey S Zervaan from riding in races on 4 th & 13 th February, 2016 for careless riding and fine him a sum of Rs. 2,500/ - . The jockey was informed of his right to appeal.

Jockey Shailesh Shinde was subsequently declared medically unfit to ride in the remaining races for the day.

b f CORSICA on returning to the unsaddling enclosure was examined by the Veterinary Officer and no ailment or injury was noticed.
