AATISH (P Kamlesh) which was fractious while being stalled jumped awkwardly from the gates.

A NAUGHTY BOY (Arman Khan) was fractious in its stall.

THUNDER ON (P S Chouhan) which was fractious in its stall was taken out, examined by the Officer and declared fit to race and was re-stalled.

When afforded an opportunity to explain the running of his mount b g AATISH, Jockey P Kamlesh stated that :-

a) He was instructed to place his mount in a comfortable position in the early and middle stages of the race.

b) As the gelding jumped awkwardly from the gates he had to restrain it in the early stages due to the crowding of the field and thereafter he shifted his mount outwards for a clear run. However approaching the 400 metres he had to once again restrain the gelding to prevent it from running into the heels of the leading pair of horses and on entering the straight he was able to ride his mount to some advantage.

c) He was of the opinion that the gelding was running green throughout the race.

On questioning trainer Ms. Arti Doctor was of the opinion that her charge had run “green” throughout the race. The Stipendiary Stewards noted their explanations.
