ch g ABERFAN, an acceptor in this race, was examined by the Veterinary Officer on the morning of Monday, 15th August, 2016 and found to be lame on left hind. Under the circumstances the gelding was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds. Tr. Vijay Singh was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer. MR FOGG’S (S Zervaan) was fractious while being stalled.

STARFIRE (S John), TIMELESS MAGIC (B L Paswan) and MCCARTNEY (Shailesh Shinde) were fractious in their respective stalls.

Approaching the 800 metres ZENA (C Alford) making progress towards rails from the outside inconvenienced STARFIRE (S John) which then made contact with ch c AUXILIUM (A Ashhad Asbar) on its inside causing the colt to be momentarily unbalanced.

Approaching the distance post MR FOGG’S (S Zervaan) running an erratic course shifted ‘in’ causing STARFIRE (S John) to shift ‘inwards’ and be checked by its rider to avoid clipping the heels of TIMELESS MAGIC (B L Paswan) travelling along the rails.
