Racing Incidents

INTERSTELLAR (A Ashhad Asbar) which was fractious while being stalled, was slow to begin.

STEVALENA (Dashrath Singh) was slow to begin.

An objection was lodged by Jockey C Alford, the rider of SUSHI placed 4th by the Judge, against Jockey Dashrath Singh, the rider of STEVALENA placed 3rd, on the grounds of “tightening me on the rails between 300 to 250 metres from the winning post for which I had to check my mount and stop riding completely, pull out and then ride out again which cost me the 3rd place”. The Stewards after interviewing Jockeys C Alford and Dashrath Singh, viewing the CCTV replay of the race and taking into consideration the opinion expressed by the Stipendiary Stewards decided to unanimously over rule the objection. The “All Clear” signal was ordered to be hoisted.
