Approaching the distance post KAARTIKEN (Pintu Das) galloping on the rails shifted course ‘outwards’ when placed under pressure with the whip. At a subsequent enquiry Jockey Pintu Das was shown the CCTV replay of the race and fined a sum of Rs. 2,500/- for the unnecessary and improper use of the whip on his mount which was clearly not responding to its use. He was further informed about the consequences that may occur in future should he continue to ride in this manner.

Tr. Bharath Singh when afforded an opportunity to explain the improved performance of his charge b g SUPER STRIKER as compared to its previous run in Race No. 41 held on 29th November, 2016 stated that :-

a) Both SUPER STRIKER and the 2nd placed horse XPERIENCE in this race had run together in Race No. 41 with no difference in the weight and the verdict between them was 6¼ lengths.

b) Today with 4 kgs allowance on SUPER STRIKER the difference of weight between the two horses was now 6½ kgs.

c) The verdict in today’s race as declared by the Judge is ½ length.

d) In both races similar instructions were issued to the jockeys.

e) All the above factors helped the gelding to win the race today.

The Veterinary Officer reported that ABERCROMBE returned with a bleeding cut injury on right hind.
