gr f FLYING CLOUD, a declared starter in the above race, was examined by the Veterinary Officer on the morning of Monday, 16th January, 2017 and found to be lame on right hind. Under the circumstances the filly was withdrawn on veterinary grounds. Tr. Ms. Arti Doctor was informed not to accept with the filly until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.

PRAIRIE DUNES (Md Islam) and COLOURFUL DREAMS (Asghar) were slow to begin.

ZURVAN (Pintu Das) played up as the start was given thereby losing considerable ground and thereafter ran detached from the field. Tr. Jasbir Singh is advised not to accept with the gelding until shown to the satisfaction of the Starter in a barrier trial during the hours of morning track work.

Jockey B Mahesh, the rider of NEW CHALLENGER, reported that his mount was inclined to hang ‘outwards’ while negotiating the bend. The Jockey was fined a sum of Rs. 3,000/- for excessive use of the whip (1st offence).

The Veterinary Officer reported that SWEET SUSPENSE returned bleeding from both nostrils. Tr. Jasbir Singh is advised not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.
