Trainer Mr. Shafiq Khan when afforded an opportunity to explain the poor performance of his charge b f BE A STAR (Sameer Khan) as compared to its previous run in Race No. 4 held on 12th July, 2017 stated that he was surprised with the filly’s poor performance today. He continued by stating that he would get his charge examined by the Veterinary Officer and report ailment, if any. Subsequent to the race day the Veterinary Officer reported that that the filly was radiographed and sonographed and found to be suffering from back pain due to a kissing spine. Trainer. Mr. Shafiq Khan was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.

Trainer Mr. Aashay Doctor when afforded an opportunity to explain the poor performance of his charge SIMPLY ROYALE (H G Rathod) as compared to its previous run in Race No. 8 held on 19th July, 2017 stated that :-

a) The gelding had won its last run with a very poor set of horses i.e., horses Rated 1-26 and today it was running with the horses Rated 21-46.

b) The gelding’s earlier records show that it had not won a race when raced with horses Rated 21-46.

c) As mentioned earlier I was pleasantly surprised with its then victory as the gelding is known to be an inconsistent performer.
