An enquiry was held immediately after the running of the race with particular reference to the fall of Jockey Dashrath Singh, the rider of dk b g NOVERRO, some distance after start. At the conclusion of the enquiry it was established that the fall was accidental in that in a tightly packed field the gelding clipped the heels of the front runners, stumbled and dislodged its rider. Thereafter the ‘All Clear’ signal was ordered to be hoisted. Jockey Dashrath Singh was given medical attention and as a precautionary measure was declared medically unfit to fulfill his remaining engagements of the day. The Veterinary Officer reported that :-

a) PHENOMENAL MEMORY returned bleeding from both nostrils. Tr. Shafiq Khan was advised not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.

b) SANGFROID returned with a cut injury on left hind.
