Tr.Patrick  Quinn  when  afforded  an  opportunity  to  explain  the  poor  performance  of  his  charge  b  g  CAPO  DE CAPIforwarded his explanationthrough  Whatsappstating“because of the fast pace and the horse  was feeling the  heatthat’s  may be it ran  a very poor race.  I  am also  confused  with the poor run  as the horse  was  working very well”.On questioning Jockey P Trevorsent his explanation through Whatsappstating  “he jumped out well and  was  keen,  travelled  well  till  the  bend  and  when  asked  he  had  nothing  left”. No  report of an ailment was received  from  the  Veterinary  Officer  immediately  after  the  race,  however,  on  a  request  from  the  trainer  the gelding  was  scoped on  the  morning  of  9thOctober,  2019  and  noabnormalitywas reported  by  the  Veterinary Officer.  The Stipendiary Stewrds noted their explanations for future reference.

Mr. Vijay Singh and Jockey Shezad Khan when afforded an opportunity to explain the running and riding of ch g THE STARDLE, Mr. Vijay Singh forwarded his explanation through Whatsappstating“since my horse is more of a one paced horse and likes to run from the top I had asked my rider totake  a good jump and go to the front and  stretch  the  field  a  bit  in  the  first  two  furlongs  and  then  settle  down  the  pace.    In  my  opinion the  rider  did follow my instructions but misjudged the pace as he did not control it after the first turn”.  On questioning Jockey Shezad  Khan  corroborated  the  Trainer’s  instructions  and  stated  that at  approximately  5  furlong  marker  on glancing back he noticed that the horse directly behind him was about three lengths away and he had no idea that the  others  were  furtherbehind.    The  Stipendiary  Stewards  noted Tr.  Vijay  Singh’sinstructionsfor  future reference.
