b g TAYGETUS, a declared starter in the above race, was examined by the Veterinary Officer on the evening of Friday, 21st December, 2018 and found to be lame on left hind. Under the circumstances the gelding was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds. Tr. Ms. Arti Doctor was informed not to accept with her charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.

SHIVESH (Imran Chisty) arrived late to the start thereby inordinately delaying the proceedings of the race. Tr.

Manvendra Singh was once again advised to ensure that his charge arrives on time in future.

MOCHA LOCA (Ranidan Singh) was fractious in its stall.

After loading of horses into their respective stalls and just prior to the start of the race, Jockey Afzal Khan, the rider of b h MIDNIGHT STAR, reported that the saddle used on his mount had broken. Under the circumstances the horse was taken out from its stall and withdrawn before coming under Starter’s orders. Subsequent examination revealed that the equipment was not well maintained at all. Jockey Afzal Khan was fined a sum of Rs. 2,500/- for using unserviceable equipment on his mount.

SIMRAN’S CHOICE (Vinay Jaiswal) which was extremely fractious while being stalled was slow to begin losing considerable ground at the start and thereafter finished the race detached from the field. The Stipendiary Stewards taking into account the mare’s repeated behaviour at the gates, informed Tr. Vikash Jaiswal not to accept with his charge until shown to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a mock race.
