App R S Bhati, the rider of ARASHI, when given an opportunity to explain the running/ridingof his mountstated that he was instructed to place his mount at the head of the field failing which he was to be in a forward position and these instructions were also receivedby himin the previous run of the mare.However, he was unable to follow instructions as the mare lacked early speed and soon after he was denied a clear run, hence, he was badly positioned at the rear of the field. The Stipendiary Stewards after scrutinising his efforts on the CCTV replay ofthe race were of the opinion that the apprenticefailed to makeadequate attempt to follow his instructionsandinformed him that his riding will be closely monitored in future.
