At the request of Tr. R H Sequeira b f ROLL CALL was examined by the Veterinary Officer at the saddling enclosure and found to have swelling on the chest region. Under the circumstances the filly was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds. Tr. R H Sequeira was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.

The Stipendiary Stewards decided to fine Jockey Dashrath Singh a sum of Rs. 15,000/-for careless riding and further cautioned him that a repeat of a similar incident would entail him being reported to the Stewards.
