Racing Incidents

For failing to produce the registered colours at the scale in respect of his charge LUMOS, Tr. Javed Khan was fined a sum of Rs. 500/-. Subsequently the emergency colour ‘ALL BLACK’ was permitted to be used.

WHISPERING GRASS (C S Jodha) stumbled at the start. LUMOS (Imran Chisty) jumped awkwardly from the gates.
INTENSE SUSPENSE (Afzal Khan) making progress along the rails was denied a clear run and had to be checked by its rider passing the distance post.

Tr. Javed Khan when afforded an opportunity to explain the improved performance of his charge LUMOS as compared to its previous outings during the season, stated that :-

a)    The gelding first of all ran in a non winners’ race.

b)    Secondly has come down in the handicap and is running after 3 weeks, which gave him a chance to freshen up and improve his chances.

The Stipendiary Stewards decided to enquire further into the improved performance of b g LUMOS.
