COMPLIANCE arrived late to the start thereby delaying the proceedings of the race. As Tr. Patrick Quinn had been warned and fined earlier for late arrival of his charges to the start, he has now been fined a sum of Rs. 4,000/- for this instance.

NEW HUSTLE was extremely fractious and refused to be stalled in spite of repeated attempts. Under the circumstances the gelding was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under Starter’s orders. The Starting Stall Certificate has been revoked.

CASTILLO was extremely difficult to load. Tr. D M David was advised to give his charge adequate gate practice before accepting with it again.

MEMORABLE MEMORIES which was difficult to load, was slow to begin. COMPLIANCE was fractious in its stall.
SPORTING TRAINER and FOOTPRINTS were slow to begin.
 
App P Tejeshwar, the rider of CASTILLO, was fined a sum of Rs. 5,000/- for excessive use of the whip (2nd infringement).

b m SO SO SPECIAL was examined by the Veterinary Officer on the morning of Tuesday, 24th January, 2023 and found to be lame on left hind. Tr. Rajesh Narredu was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.
