Racing Incidents

gr m SPEEDSTER, an acceptor in the above race, was examined by the Veterinary Officer at the request of the Trainer on 9th February, 2023 and found to be lame on left fore. Under the circumstances the mare was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds. Tr. Warren Singh was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.

MANDEVILLE was slow to begin.

Passing the 1100 metres MANDEVILLE broke down. On immediate veterinary examination the gelding was found to have sustained fracture on its right shoulder. As the gelding was in severe pain and agony, it was euthanized on humanitarian grounds.

CLIFFHANGER was observed to be under distress soon after the race and fell down on the track on its way back. Immediate veterinary attention was given but the horse died due to cardio respiratory failure.

The saddle used on ARABIAN QUEEN moved forward passing the 1800 metres with the rider not being to do any justice to his mount in the race. Tr. Vijay Singh was fined a sum of Rs. 3,000/- for faulty saddling.
