Racing Incidents

IMPERMANENCE was fractious in its stall.

NEW HUSTLE which was very difficult to load, was slow to begin. Tr. N Ravinder Singh was advised not to accept with his charge until shown to the satisfaction of the Starter in a barrier trial.

SPORTING TRAINER was slow to begin.

Tr. Patrick Quinn and Jockey Nikhil Naidu when questioned regarding the running and riding of b m TIME, the Trainer stated that this was the mare’s first run under his charge and even in track work, it did not show any ‘spark’ as such he had instructed the Jockey to place his mount in 4th/5th position and do his best thereafter. Jockey Nikhil Naidu corroborated the Trainer’s instructions and further stated that the mare was not galloping fluently in spite of giving it full support and was tending to run an in and out race. Not being satisfied with the explanations tendered, both Tr. Patrick Quinn and Jockey Nikhil Naidu were fined a sum of Rs. 15,000/- each for the unsatisfactory running and riding of TIME.
