Racing Incidents

TIME was examined by the Veterinary Officer at the starting gates and found to be suffering from left hind fetlock swelling. Under the circumstances the mare was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under Starter’s orders. Tr. Patrick Quinn was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer. SHAI was difficult to load.

SUN GOD and ALGOZE were slow to begin. ALGOZE was hanging out from about the 800 metres of the race. Tr. Shyam Habbu was advised to take appropriate remedial measures. Post race endoscopy revealed that the filly suffered from EIPH. Tr. Shyam Habbu was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.

ELEOS finished the race detached from the field. The Veterinary Officer was requested to examine the gelding and submit his report and on examination it was found to be trotting sound.
