As Jockey Akshay Kumar was unable to fulfil his riding engagement in this race due to delay in his flight schedule, Tr. Aashay Doctor was permitted to substitute Jockey Yash Narredu to ride his charge THALAMES.

SHAI was extremely fractious and refused to be stalled in spite of repeated attempts thereby delaying the proceedings of the race. Under the circumstances the gelding was withdrawn before coming under Starter’s orders. The Starting Stall Certificate has been revoked.

Jockey Rupal Singh, the rider of TICKER, was reprimanded for “swinging” wide while negotiating the bend for no apparent reason and advised to exercise better control over his mounts in future.

CHETAK which was difficult to load, finished the race detached from the field. Tr. Rutherford Alford was advised not to accept with his charge until it was capable of a better performance.   The Veterinary Officer was requested to examine CHETAK and report ailment, if any. Post race endoscopy on 11th October, 2023 revealed that the gelding was suffering from respiratory infection Grade 3.

REAGAN missed the jump.

The Veterinary Officer reported that SHAI returned with a cut injury on right hind fetlock.
