TIME AND TIDE and COOL RIDER missed the jump.

The Veterinary Officer reported that MONFORTINO returned bleeding from its nostrils. Tr. Shyam S Habbu was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.

Tr. Adhiraj Singh and Jockey P S Chouhan when questioned regarding the running and riding of dk b c TIME AND TIDE, the Trainer stated that :-

1.    “ I had asked the jockey to take a smart jump and judge the pace of the race as I felt COOL RIDER being on our inside would probably be quicker and I did not want to cut pace with him, so I gave the Jockey the option of sitting 2nd or 3rd.

2.    I felt that my colt took a tardy start and the Jockey brushed him to hit the front, in doing so he has taken off and gotten very keen as GOLDEN OAKS came alongside and they both broke away from the field in the first few furlongs. Due to this early burst and carrying top weight my horse struggled to maintain that rhythm and has run a below par race”.

Jockey P S Chouhan stated that :-

1.    “The instructions to me were to sit in position one or two and do your best.

2.    My horse took a slightly sluggish jump, so I had to nudge my horse to settle in the front position.

3.    As I reached the front, the outside horse Golden Oaks rushed to the lead and started chasing me.

4.    I couldn't slow down my horse because it would disrupt his rhythm, and since the outside horse was chasing him, my horse was becoming more eager.

5.    In the straight, I waited for a while and then started urging my horse, but the other two horses, Cool Rider and Gazino, performed better than mine.

6.    My observation is that since my horse was carrying top weight, if I had gotten a chance to go comfortably to the front, my horse would have run a better race than what he ran.
