Racing Incidents
In the process of being stalled, HIGHLAND QUEST (Satish Nayak) reared up and fell. The gelding was examined by the Club?s Sr.V.O. and certified fit to race. At about 1200 metres WHITE HART LANE (Y.S.Srinath) gradually shifted in on to SHODAAN (P.Kamlesh) who in turn shifted in and caused interference to MUSICAL RHYTHM (C.S.Jodha) along the rails. Thereafter, on entering the straight WHITE HART LANE started lugging in despite which Jockey Y.S.Srinath made no attempt to change his whip hand to correct the horse but persisted with the use of the whip with the left hand thereby aggravating the inward movement of the horse and caused severe interference to ELEGANTE (App.N.S.Parmar) nearly causing an accident. As such, Jockey Y.S.Srinath was reported to the Stewards for careless riding. The Stewards interviewed Jockey Y.S.Srinath and having considered the submissions made and viewing the video recording of the of the race, decided to give Jockey Y.S.Srinath the benefit of the doubt for the first incident that
