Racing Incidents

At the start, CLASSIC MONEY (S Zervan) leaned inwards and went on to FLIGHT TO FREEDOM (C.S.Jodha),  who in turn went on to CHIQUITA (A.Sandesh) who itself had shifted out due to KASKAZI (D.K.Ashish) shifting out after an awkward jump.

Soon after the start, MUMBAI KING (Dashrath Singh) stumbled.

Near 1000 metres, CHIQUITA (A.Sandesh) dropped out, due to which ASHWA APOLLO (App.Prasad), who was following, clipped the hind heels of CHIQUITA and became unbalanced.

Jockey S.Zervan (CLASSIC MONEY) reported that his mount hung in during the race. Trainer D.J.Surti has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the mare.

Trainer M.K.Jadhav and Jockey A. Sandesh were questioned regarding the running and riding of CHIQUITA. The Instructions were to ride a waiting race. The filly was little slow to move out of the Gates and shortly thereafter the filly was tightened for galloping room. The Jockey stated that he was held up between the 800 metres to the 600 metres when traveling behind CLASSIC

MONEY and was unable to improve his position at a crucial stage of the race. He added that the filly has a short spurt. This was confirmed by the patrol video and the explanation was noted.   

After the race, KASKAZI was observed to have a cut injury at the left hind cannon and CLASSIC MONEY had an abrasion at both hind fetlocks. MUMBAI KING was found to be sound.
