Racing Incidents

After being stalled, SANTA MARIA (S.Zervan) reared up and hooked one of its fore legs in the adjoining stall. The filly was taken out and examined by the Club’s V.O. who certified her fit to race. Trainer P.Shroff has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

At the start, STAR OF PEACE (P.Trevor, dr.6) shifted in and went across MAUNA KEA (A.Sandesh, dr.5) and then jostled with SULTAN OF SWING (J.Pradeep, dr.4), who in turn made contact with SANTA MARIA (S.Zervan, dr.3). Jockey P.Trevor has been fined Rs.3000/-

Jockey R.Vaibhav (RAJSAMMAN) reported that his mount shied away and was unbalanced in the concluding stages of the race.

Jockey Nirmal Jodha (ADVANCE TO CONTACT) reported that his mount lugged-in the straight. Trainer Sangramsinh N.Joshi has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

Jockey S.Zervan (SANTA MARIA) reported the loss of whip near 150 metres from the Winning Post, the reason being that his whip hit the rails. 

STAR OF PEACE (P.Trevor) lugged-in in the straight. Trainer S.S.Shah has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

After the race, MAUNA KEA was observed to have a cut injury at the right hind pastern. STAR OF PEACE and ADVANCE TO CONTACT (examined on 23/09/2013) were found to be sound.
