At the request of Trainer Shazaan Shah, HISTORIC was examined in the stable area at 10.35 a.m. on 15/10/2022 and was found to be lame by right fore, the mare was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds and has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
 
An objection was lodged by Apprentice Jockey P. Shinde (POWER OF NEATH) placed 2nd by the Judge against Jockey Bhawani Singh (HELA) placed first by the Judge. The reason being, in the last 100 metres, rider of HELA hit him twice with the whip, first on his hand and second time on the Blinker of his horse which was damaged. Thereby his horse shied and it cost him a certain race.
 
After considering the submissions made by the Jockeys concerned, in conjunction with that of the Stipendiary Stewards and relying on their judgment, the Stewards decided to over-rule the objection. 
 
At the behest of the Stipendiary Stewards a Stewards enquiry was held in this race. The reason being that after the race, Jockey Amyn Merchant (JET TYPHOON, dr.12) reported that his horse’s head was in the adjacent stall when the start was effected, as such he was not ready and the start was given thus causing him to lose ground and position.
 
After considering the submissions made by the Jockey Amyn Merchant and the Starter in conjunction with that of the Stipendiary Stewards and relying on their own judgment, the Stewards decided to maintain the order of placing as declared by the Judge.
 
Approaching the 200 metres, CARLOS (S. J. Sunil) was inclined inwards onto EXPEDITION (H. M. Akshay) and had to be steadied. Trainer Adil Dajee has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
 
After the race, JET TYPHOON was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
 
The Equine hospital reported that the RED DUST had left eye injury (sore).
